SUMMARY :
For this week madam brief us about our course outline and all the assignments and assessments that we will be doing this semester. Besides that, we are also assigned to create an e-portfolio and need to update it every week. I am actually excited and looking forward to the next class. Moreover, madam also gave us noun phrase exercises to practice as our first topic.

Noun Phrase
Based on my understanding, a noun phrase is a group of two or more words headed by a noun that includes modifiers (e.g., 'the,' 'a,' 'of them,' 'with her').

SUMMARY :
This week Madam Fadzilah gave us new materials which are the prepositional videos. Based on my understanding, a prepositional expression is a set of terms that includes the preposition, its object and any modifiers to the object. A prepositional phrase usually modifies a verb or a noun. Adverbial phrases and adjectival phrases, respectively, are two types of prepositional phrases. Besides that, a prepositional expression is made up of at least one preposition and the object it regulates. Therefore, a noun, a gerund (a verb form ending in “-ing” that functions as a noun), or a clause may all be used as the object. Since adjectives modify nouns, we assume a prepositional term is acting adjectivally as it acts on a noun. The adjectival action of a prepositional phrase is referred to as an adjectival phrase. When a prepositional phrase acts upon a verb, we say it is behaving adverbially because adverbs modify verbs. A prepositional phrase that behaves adverbially is called an adverbial phrase.

Based on my understanding, dependent clause is the relative clause. It has a subject and a verb, but it is not a complete sentence.

SUMMARY :
Hello, so for this week Madam uploaded a new material on google classroom which is the conditional and participle clauses.

Conditional clause
- Conditional tenses are used to speculate about what could happen, what might have happened, and what we wish would happen. In English, most sentences using the conditional contain the word if.

Participle clause
- A participle clause is a dependent clause which uses a participle form of a verb. These clauses are used to avoid making sentences overly complicated. They are used mainly in written English and they allow us to convey a great deal of information in a shorter form

It's frequently surrounded by quotation marks so that the reader realises that the quoted content is the speaker's original storey.

Indirect speech is used to report what someone may have said, and so it is always used in the past tense.
