The students engaged in book groups today. I am blown away by the connections, mental images, and inferences they made about their books and their peers books. Keep up all the great reading kiddos! 

REMINDER! Tomorrow is our Social Studies play. The class had their final practice today and they are more than ready to perform tomorrow. Can't wait for everyone to see all their hard work!

Over the weekend: There will be one math packet to do over the weekend. It is not due until Tuesday but it would be great for students to get a jump start on it. We are starting a new chapter on Tuesday and it would be helpful for everyone to be refreshed on past content and ready to go on Tuesday! 

One last thing: Although it is not mandatory, it would great for students to get a little reading in this weekend! There is a book drive at the Downtown Branch of the Siouxland Library!

The kiddos are excited for a long weekend away from school and they deserve after all their hard work the last couple of weeks. 

Reminder! There will be NO homework to be done over break. I only encourage that students log onto their Dreambox accounts 2 or 3 times for at least 15-20 minutes. I also encourage students to be reading! Whatever they can. We will be having book groups after break and I want students to be full of fun stories and connections they made with their literature over the break.
