How do developmental scientists study people? What are some advantages and disadvantages of each research method? 
They study people by observations. Advantages of survey is a large number of people can do them, can be done quickly, and you can collect more of a wide range of information.
Disadvantages are you can get bias results, and you can not determine whether people lie. 

2. What ethical problems may arise in research with humans?  Some are informed consent, beneficence-no harming, and respect for privacy.

Developmental theories differ two basic issues: active or reactive character of development and existence of stages of development.
