Since then, coach Affizam has been guiding, grooming and training him.He debut as a professional para-athlete during 2011 ASEAN Para Games at Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. He managed to get gold medal in his debut competition. His success continues year by year with more achievements recorded.I like him because of his attitude that is always focused and persistent when training or when the competition wants to start. Chew Wei Lun is a Malaysian boccia athlete. He was born on 26 April 1995. He won Malaysia’s third medal in his solo debut at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, bringing home the silver medal for the national contingent on Monday (1st September). Chew Wei Lun narrowly lost to Great Britain’s defending champion and world number one David Smith with a final score of 2-4. From living a challenging life to becoming a Paralympian, Chew Wei Lun has certainly marked a remarkable history in his Boccia career. Beneath his success, Chew Wei Lun kept a hidden story that was unknown to many. His tough upbringing resurfaces following his success and it certainly touched the hearts of many Malaysians who follow his journey. He was left by his mother when he was four years old and taken care by his grandfather. Then at the age of nine, he was sent to a care centre for differently abled children and learnt to be independent. The reason why i like him because he didn’t give up even though he wasn’t perfect like everyone else and he doesn't stop making Malaysian proud which is inspired me a lot.
