1. I wonder why Jenny keeps calling her brother "toady". I know that toads are frogs so they jump, and I notice that right before she calls Ian "toady" she pinches him and he says ouch. So maybe Jenny calls him toady because he jumps every time he gets pinched. (Vocabulary usage)

2. The author wants me to know that Ian always follows the rules even if everyone else does not. (Character Analysis)

3. Wow I'm surprised! The bear rug came to life and he seems very angry about his fur! (Character Analysis)

4. Oh my, all of the objects are angry because Jenny did not follow the rules. If only she had not tracked mud on the bear rug, if only she had put the wood back in the stove, if only she had cleaned the tub, those objects would not be upset with her!
