I decided to focus on Food waste. This is because food waste is one of the problems that we all have to deal with. One-third of all the food that is being produced, globally, are being thrown away. All those food that can still be used are being thrown away. We are going to need to raise awareness about it. Tactile illustrations can be used to raise awareness because the picture shows what is happening, and there are always meanings behind it. People who see the tactile illustrations can learn more about the problem and maybe they can help with it. 

The purpose of the tactile illustration I’m creating is to make people be more aware of what they are eating and aware of the food that they are wasting. What can the food still do and why shouldn’t they be wasting it.

Why is advertising effective and why would tactile illustrations be used to raise awareness. Explain why organisations use advertising like this to get a message across

Renewable energy:

I have done this topic in many of my school class like science and math. I even did a infographic on this topic in Grade 5. I think this is an very important thing and is related to every single person. The biggest contributor to climate change is burning fossil fuels and using non-renewable energy. If we can solve this issue from the base we can clearly solve climate change. 

Animal abuse:

Although I have never worked on this topic, and personally I don't really care because I see most animals (like dogs) as foods, I think it is necessary for me to look at other people's opinion and perspective on different things, It would help me to open my mind a lot. 

Represent meaningful sentences:

This is another idea I have. I want to create some kind of tactile illustration to represent a quote my famous people to also make people understand them better and get inspired. 

Students have the right to have a day off and be excused if they are feeling down. A recent study shows that more than 30% of students have been diagnosed with anxiety and over 10% with depression. Teenagers are going through hormonal changes and have a load of work to do as well with standards, this is all very overwhelming. A study shows that from the 1990s workload has increased over four times in an average student. Ever since workload got increased, students have had mental tolls on them. A mental health day should be counted the same as a sick day. 

The reason abortion and unwanted pregnancies is important is because women have a right to decide on what happens with their bodies. Most births of unwanted pregnancies end up either orphans, homeless, or in an abusive home. The right to abortion should be legal. When abortion is not provided, women result to going to unsafe methods such as backstreet methods or home methods such as coat hangers. These methods are unsafe to women because they can cause infertility and in some cases death. Women should not be treated as containers. A fetuses, who do not have a clear sense of what is right and what is wrong’s opinion should not matter more than a living women knowing what is right for her situation and morales.

2. This is also one of the most challenging ideas I have and I want to challenge myself to do this. 

3. Although this tactile illustration is targeting general audience, it also attracts the biggest gamer culture group in the world: Minecraft. Microsoft and Mojang announced that Minecraft has officially sold 176 million copies worldwide and has 200 million registered users in its free Chinese release as the sandbox title reaches its tenth anniversary. 

4. I also finds this design the easiest to add comedy elements and the best to help people remember it. 

I will further develop this idea by making each elements clear and print out the minecraft things. I will draw another detailed sketch of this to present this idea better.
