The rich culture in Baghdad is sure to please. The role of religion and "Dar-al-Islam" is very important as it is a cultural and political force in the region. It's tolerance for other beliefs attract many. In addition, the women have an equal status to that of men, so everyone is equal. Along with this interesting society comes yummy food such as the Judhaab, a favorite of Baghdad made of sweet pudding and meat. The language spoken is Arabic, but society has much diversity in languages. The religion stresses the value of knowledge. They had universities set up to study science, astronomy and mathematics. The House of Wisdom in Baghdad is one of the first examples of a "modern library."
