2. Binomial Nomenclature- Two terms are used to denote a species of living organism.
3. Systematics- The science of naming and grouping organisms.
4. Kingdom- The largest and most inclusive category.
5. Species- Smallest and most exclusive category.
6. Phylogeny- The study of how living and extinct organisms are related to one another. 
7. Clade- a group of species that includes a single common ancestor and all descendants of that ancestor both living and extinct. 
8. Monophyletic group- includes all species that are descended from a common ancestor.
9. Cladogram- illustrates how groups of organisms are related to one another by showing how evolutionary lines, or lineages, branched off from common ancestors.
10. Derived Character- a trait that arose in the most recent common ancestor of a particular lineage and was passed along to its descendants.
