When looking at the student accommodation is clear to see that they try to offer the best possible residence for all of their students and try to please them as best as possible, for example it says on the website that the accommodation is situated within easy reach of the university and is also close enough to the city's centre for students to experience the culture and nightlife.

When looking at the different courses to do with media on offer there were various ones such as Media and Journalism (BA) and Interactive Media Design (BA) but the one which interested me the most was a Film and Television Studies (BA). This one particularly took my interest as film and TV is a big interest of mine and I have always been interested in how they are exactly made and how much work goes in behind the scenes. Looking through the module it says how you would cover over three years different things such as film history, advanced film-making, different topics such as Hollywood cinema, documentaries and in the third year you would be able to create your own course of study and choose between a final written dissertation or a practical film-making task.

When looking about how it could relate to my future, it lets people know that you will be able to benefit from their links with external bodies such as Tyneside cinema. It also mentions how industry professionals from various film programming, moving-image education and film festivals regularly visit the university to give presentations and lectures. It also supports students and helps students graduate with a skillset to make your mark in the industry, experience in research, meeting deadlines and working independently.

When looking at the entry requirments, it states that I must have at least a C in maths and English and when it comes to my extended diploma grades it states that I must achieve at least 2 distinctions and 1 merit to get onto the course. I feel like I am more than capable of achieving these grades, it just means I will have to focus well in class and concentrate

When looking for student accommodation on the university's website, it is quite clear they try to help find the best suited accommodation for you as a student as it states on the website that "there is loads of great accommodation on offer so you'll soon find yourself settling in." On the website it also lets you look at a virtual tour to help you pick the right place to live and it also includes a price guide to compare rental fees and what's included in your payments so you have an idea of what you're getting for your money.

When looking at all of the different courses to offer at Bournemouth university, I noticed they only really had BA's available related to media. Even though there was only BA's to offer, there was still plenty of courses which seemed interesting such as a BA for Film Production and Cinematography or a BA for TV Production. These two courses were ones I particularly took an interest to as I know I want my career to be in the production or post production of the TV industry.

The course is full time and 3 years including a 4 week placement or 4 years with a minimum 30-week placement. When looking at the entry requirements for the TV Production BA it states that you would need 112-128 tariff points including a minimum of 2 Levels or equivalent.
