🎮 Transition Project: Gamify Your Sport!

📌 Your Mission:

Create a fun and educational game based on a sport of your choice. Your game should help players learn about the sport’s rules, tactics, fitness demands, or fun facts. It may be wise to consider non-traditional sports.

📝 Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Choose Your Sport

Pick a sport you enjoy or are curious about — football, netball, athletics, tennis, basketball, etc.

2. Decide on the Game Format

Choose how you want to present your game:

• Board game (like Monopoly or Snakes & Ladders)

• Card game (like Top Trumps or Uno)

• Quiz game (like Trivial Pursuit or Kahoot)

• Physical activity game (like a PE warm-up with a twist)

3. Plan Your Game

Think about:

• What do players need to learn or do?

• How do they win?

• What are the rules?

• How many players can play?

Use this checklist:

✅ Clear instructions
✅ A scoring or reward system
✅ A fun and sporty theme
✅ Educational content (rules, tactics, fitness, etc.)

4. Create Your Game

Be as creative as you like! You can:

• Draw a board and cards by hand

• Use digital tools (e.g. Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides)

• Make a quiz using Kahoot or Quizizz

• Build a prototype using recycled materials

5. Test It Out

Play your game with friends or family.

• Was it fun?

• Did they learn something?

• Were the rules clear?

Make improvements based on their feedback.

6. Present Your Game (in class in September)

Prepare a short explanation

• The name of your game

• How it works

• What players learn from it

• Why you chose this sport
