Some Politicians, like James Wilson, believed that a bill of rights was not in the better interest of the whole nation because it went in too deep into private privileges. They believed that the Constitution was enough to protect individual rights. One reason why not passing the bill of rights would be a good thing is that the citizens might try to restrict the government and want their own personal needs to surpass the authority of the federal government

A reason for the bill of rights to not be passed was that it was possible the people would see their rights as entitlement and try to take power or create power they believed they deserved and then there would be no power to stop them because they had already given the right to do what they wanted like freedom of press where they could say anything. A good reason to have the bill of rights would be so that people are aware of what they can do and what people can't do to stop them or oppress them like freedom speech.
