One more chapter...

If this book had one more chapter, I believe it would have a piece of literature which would test what we learned as a whole. I believe this to be the case because no matter how many principles Thomas Foster would teach us, it's kind of fruitless if we couldn't gauge our progress. Therefore, a test case would be best so as to give the reader better practice in reading literature. Besides, there's only so much one can teach in the book before it just becomes too much for any sane reader.

Rating of the Book

I gave this book a 10/10 because it did the one thing it set out to do: To teach us how to read literature like a professor and he did it in a surprisingly fun way. While obviously we couldn't possibly have the same experience in reading literature as Thomas Fostor just from reading this one light book, he's genuine when he takes us through the depths of his mind to show us what he thinks about when reading and he does a pretty good job at that. Another reason for the rating is that there is hardly another book like it to compare the two, so I think it's fair to say there might not be an example to thwart such a rating. Let's just say Fostor is one of the many sages of literary analysis and one of the few who left a book for generations to come.

Evaluate the Ending

I believe the ending of this book is an absolutely superb way to end of a book. The definition of an effective ending is one which ties the entire book together into an effective conclusion, and that is what Thomas Fostor does, telling us to further engage in our literary studies, and bidding us farewell. It was one of those endings which ironically left me hungering for more, even though I was already spent when it came to literary analysis. Thomas Fostor leaves us several very important lessons when going about our journey of literary exploration, which you'll just have to read in order to find out.
