(Untouchable money, just don't even let it run through your mind to use) If you use untouchable money, never let it drop to $0.
You will still have that other money to use, but over time that money you take out will accumulate and will be available for an emergency or something you’ve wanted for a while.

  1. For credit, have the card company debit your bank account automatically for the minimum payment each month and never pay late fees again. 
  2. For investments and retirement, saving 1% or more from your paychecks never hurts and makes it easier to save.
  3. Setting aside money for a rainy day
