For example, the British gained profit from trading with other europeans states, with Africa, and profited from whatever the colonies had earned in their trading.

Considering the principles of mercantilism, I believe that Great Britain benefited the most from the Triangular Trade Network because they were able to make a great profit from their colonies, exact high tariffs as they wished, and maximize their exports thanks to the raw materials that they imported from colonies. Great Britain was able to achieve a favorable balance of trade by importing raw goods, processing them, and then exporting the manufactured goods for a nice profit. By doing this, they were able to export more than they imported and aquire more gold/wealth. In addition, Great Britain was able to make colonies and others reliant on them because colonies only knew how to cultivate raw goods, ex: cotton or tobacco, they did not know how to manufacture the goods, ex: cigarettes or towels. Since colonies did not know how to manufacture the raw goods that they produced, they were dependant on Great Britain for necessities or luxuries and increased Great Britain's exports and profits.
