My son, who does not live here and I have not seen since 12/25, and his roommate/girlfriend have been feeling miserable for days. We found she tested positive. Still waiting for his results, but you know...

I know we are just one of millions of families who have received this news. They will probably be okay, but the symptoms come and go. So you have to worry. It does not help that we cannot directly do anything for them. We have had some meals delivered, and we have done shopping which we drop off in the car parked outside his apartment.

When we get news of how badly they feel it is frustrating that we cannot bring meals to their bedroom or remind them to take medicine. They will have to run their own blazing hot shower to create a steam room. Of course it has been a decade or so since we have been asked to read a bedtime story assuring them the wicked witch always gets her comeuppance. It is getting thrown into the parents of children pool at the deep end.

Still we know they will most likely be okay.
