Utilizing a tool such as curipod to focus feedback for students can also lend itself to generating assessments for students. This tool can also help the workflow and productivity of teachers.

Adaptive learning platforms are a focal point, with assessment, revision, fact-checking, ethical consideration, special education, lesson planning, and action expression. We also found AI-powered tutoring aligned with assessment, revisions, personalized learning, AI enhanced feedback.

Lesson Planning links to adaptive learning platforms. In order to be equitable for all learners, this must be taken into consideration. This would include special education students. The workflow would be adapted to their learning ability and/or based on how their IEP is written.

UDL & AI Creativity

As a group we noticed that UDL and AI Creativity are main concepts that connect to all or most of the other learning topics. UDL is a great way to connect to differentiated instruction and providing access to various ways of learning. Similar to AI creativity, we saw that AI creativity is an useful tool to provide future skills, workflow, human & AI hybrid teams, student data privacy, and special education learning.

We discussed how AI, planning, and learning are connected. One of the points of discussion was that ethical considerations and representation don't just touch one or a few points in this hexagon, or in real life. These two principles should be guiding every action we take and every word we say.

One of the many connections my group came up with in our map was that UDL is sort of the umbrella for most of the other terms. When we combine UDL and AI, we have an opportunity to shift our teacher workflows. We can use AI as co-pilots when lesson designing. We can also use AI as thought partners when responding to emails when emotions might be involved. Ultimately, AI will be a part of our future skills for both educators and students.
