Even though he is dying of an illness that has stricken his ability of motion starting from the bottom of his feet to his head.The thing i like about the character is that he is more on the bright side of life.And the fact that he see's that even the worst of things don't need to limit you even if you cant control it. Other than that there's not really any bad sides to the man.Besides the fact that his manners are very laid away. In short it is a man getting ASL and living his life to the fullest while showing others that life can be good even when given a bad position.

Morrie is a loving and kind person that cares about everyone even if they do not like him. He treats everybody like he will never see them again. He taught one student named Mitch, and from the attitude of the book this was his favorite student of all time. He has no negative things about him, he is always happy, always positive.Him and Mitch didn't talk for 16 years. He eventually gets ALS and it causes him and Mitch to get close again. Even though he is dying he is happy, still makes time for his friend.

Lev is my least favorite of the characters that have been introduced so far. He is my least favorite because he is rude and he also has a plan to run away from Risa and Connor and get them caught. When Lev is first introduced his family is throwing a party for his to be tithed which is weird to me. The first sentence of his paragraph says "The party is big, the party is expensive, the party has been planned for years." This quote shows that his family has planned for him to be unwound for years.

Conner's girlfriend Ariana said "We should run away, " on page 4. Ariana ends up not going to run away with them because she was scared. Conner winds up running away and sneaking into an eight-teen wheeler. While Conner and the driver were on the way and caused a wreck.

The things about the father that seems likeable is that he has ingenuity and is full of ideas. Although these likeable things are offset things that are very negative about him such as being abusive, a munipulator, not caring for his kids safety, and someone who wants to control all the finances. "He saw himself a the head of the household, and he maintained that the money should be turned over to him."(pg.76). His development throughout the story had changed as it progressed showing a more uncontrollable side of him. Towards their stay at Battle Mountain he got into a huge argument with his wife that led to him throwing her out a window. He was also working on a way to get gold out of rock by using a cyanide solution to purge it out. Something interesting about him is that he believes in avoiding the law and not paying anything that is required by him. He can also be seen as a drifter who moves his family off of rumors.

Ed and Marv were talking the whole time about Marv's car. He lied about being 18 to be able to be a cab driver.

She never fully paid attention to her children. Jeannette her middle child was caught on fire after making herself food all while the mom worked on her paintings. Throughout this story so far the mom has seemed more focused on her art and passions rather than her own children. Rose Mary was seemingly forced into marrying Rex Walls. One of the things I disliked was the fact Rose seems to not have grown up completely. She still acts as though a teenager would. On page 56 Rose states "Why spend an afternoon making a meal that will be gone in an hour, When in the same amount of time, I can do a painting that will last forever."

He cares about his sister and was the one that told the dad that she got thrown out of the car. He was also the one who helped fight off the bully that was being mean to his sister. I think that he has a lot of development in the text so far. I really like this character because he is the only boy and likes to be protective of his siblings. Even though Brian is very small and wears his sisters hammy downs he wants to be the bigger person and take up for his siblings no matter what. Brian is probably one of my favorite characters just by the way he is and the way he acts.

She is learning and is growing up in poverty with her family. One of the things I like about Jeannette is her positive outlook on life. She manages to keep most of her composure in the craziest of situations. One of her very first memories was her cooking in the kitchen and her dress caught on fire. She had to go to the hospital and the whole time she was there she enjoyed herself. Her entire right side was wrapped in bandages and she said "Look, I'm a half-mummy" pg:10

which made the nurse laugh, showing she was optimistic about the traumatizing experience.

The robber didn't really want to rob them it seemed. When the police came the robber became very scared and tried to drive away on Marv's car but it didn't want to start because it was very old. When Ed went back to court to see the robber for the first time he saw him and he said that Ed was a dead man. When Ed left the room the lady in the courthouse said that the robber had been crying all morning.

Mitch wants to enjoy his time he has left with Morrie. Mitch is my favorite character because he really cares about Morrie and he wants to have good memories he can look back on later in the future. After 16 long years, Mitch finds out Morrie is sick and wants to reunite with him for the time he has left. Mitch has a very cool and caring personality and he really admires his old professor.

Eventually, Ed gets the gun and stops the robber from fleeing.

The mom stated in the text that Lori was carried in her womb for fourteen months. Lori is smart enough to help their mom with her work as stated in the text "At night Lori,Brian and I went over her students homework and tests." Lori's teachers tell her that she needs glasses but her mom believes that glasses are just like crutches that prevent your eyes from getting better. I like the development of Lori so far in the book. Lori was put in the gifted section of her class. Stated in text on page 95 "Lori's and Brian's teachers also put them in gifted reading groups."
