Title/Author/Date Published
Reality Unveiled: The hidden keys of existence that will transform your life. (and the world)
Ziad Masri
Date published: Jan 26, 2017

Review of the book
This book honestly changed my perspective on life. I learned so much from a much smaller book than I'm used to. This book talks about souls, the law of attraction, and energy. It completely changed my outlook on the world, and the ways I lead my life. I think my biggest take away from this book is that everything is connected in this universe. In order to make the most from it, people need to pay more attention to the energy they are giving out as well as receiving.

Recommendation:
I've recommended this book to all of my friends. I did really enjoy it, and learning about things I do not usually take an interest in.

5 stars!

The Bridge Called My Back
Writings by Radical Women of Color.
1981
Review of The Book:
This was the first poetry book I have read about feminism and culture. This book displays several pieces that reflect the reality of some women of different backgrounds. I really enjoyed being able to read several latinx poems that I could relate to. This is a great book. This book does not only discuss hardships but also things pertaining to the joys of one's culture. I definitely feel like I had found my voice in some of these poems.
Recommendation:
I recommend this to anyone who would want to read about the struggles and lives of women around the world. This book displays very vulgar language, but I loved being able to read the passion through every poet.

5 STARS

Masculinity and Latino Culture.
By: Alfredo Mirande
May 1997.
I found this book so interesting. I have always read about how masculinity plays into the Latinx culture and this book provides data and a perspective into my culture. The author discusses how this masculinity is formed and in what ways it affects women. I learned so much about the roles of women in my culture and how men contribute to these standards.
I would recommend this if you would like to learn more about men and their frail masculinity. This book comes from a male author so I do not find the information presented biased. I also recommend this to people who have an interest in the Latinx culture. I found the information very accurate and it spoke to me and the few men in my life.
Rate: 5 stars!

This book serves as a resource of statistics and research about Latina's to do with relationships, goals, culture, and gender roles.
Recommendations:
I was very interested in this topic, but I do not completely feel as if I identify with the subject. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning about Latin American culture and how it affects women.
4 Stars

Nicolas Sparks
2009
Review of the Book:
I watched the movie before reading the novel. It has become one of my favorite romance novels. I had already enjoyed the movie with Miley Cyrus, and after reading the book I found myself even more invested in the characters and the emotional trauma.
Recommendation:
I highly recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys love stories. I also recommend this to someone who may identify with the issues of isolation, loss, love, and rebellion.
5 Stars!
