      - Teachers must ask intentional questions that will move the child’s thinking forward. 

       - The purposes of questioning include finding out what the child honestly thinks, providing counterexamples, obtaining needed information, inspiring children's purposes, focusing children’s thinking, and enriching children’s efforts.
