Downfall to Video Games?

Obviously, kids don't become mass shooters from playing a couple games of Fortnite, however, scientists from the American Psychological Association have been able to link video games with psychological behaviors. Increased aggressiveness, decrease in empathy, prosocial behavior, and moral engagement can occur when playing video games. This is due to the fact that players are yelling at the screen, but also being awarded points for the number of kills. I think video games could ultimately be a cause for violence because some can not differentiate pretend and reality.

Insensitivity to Violence

Because of the decrease in empathy, kids might not be sensitive to violence because video games have depicted dying and killing as nothing. I don't think this is the case in every situation. So many violent acts have happened, that most just pass over it like it's normal.
