"I'm serious, Jus. Them fools don't wanna hear when they're being offensive. They couldn't care less what it's like to live in our skin."
I was surprised when Manny admitted this and talked to Justyce about Jared and Blake. Manny had always told Jus to calm down, and now he was admitting that Jus had a valid reason to be upset.

"He's hanging out after school in Doc's classroom to avoid making the call a few days later when SJ busts through the door like she's being chased by rabid dogs." Although you may hear the term often, it is sometimes uncommon for people to know the meaning of the term "like she/he's being chased by rabid dogs". In fact, the term actually means that she came in the room in a hurry, very quickly, busting through the door, etc. But if you were being chased by rabid dogs and trying to escape them, that is how you would enter. You would enter very quickly, hastily, and swiftly.
I think the author included this to give a good but also exaggerated example of how fast she entered the room.

¨Justyce leans forward to reach for the volume knob. ¨Oh SHIT!¨ Manny shouts- BANG. BANG. BANG.!
I feel like this is relatable not towards me but, society today. This stuff still happens today. Not just with strangers but, also police officers. This happens everywhere and most police officers are left off the hook, because they were just doing their job.
