Up until the marriage is arranged Naila is not a lot to date or even be friends with a boy. She doesnt listen to her parents and falls for an American guy, when her parents find out they take a trip back to their home land. While on vacation her parents find her a husband and wants them to get married right then and there.

This book starts with the women's suffrage movement and continues until the election of 2012. I love that the book is filled with great illustrations photographs. It also includes a glossary, index, and chart of all the women who have served in Congress.

This book is about a little girl Libby and her great aunt, Lobo. Her aunt Lobo is from Mexico, but has lived in the United States for many years now. Her aunt wants to become a US citizen. Libby is learning the pledge at school. Both will need to say the pledge in front of crowds at the end of the week. The book shows them practicing together and talking about what the pledge means to them. Its a great way to show what the pledge means to american-born citizens and also what it means to immigrants wanting to become citizens.
