"African-Americans, Latinos, whites, and others prayed and sang together, creating a dimension of spiritual unity and equality, almost unprecedented for the time. It allowed men, women, and children to celebrate their unity in Christ and participate as led by the Spirit.

1. personal revival

obedience coupled with the move of the holy spirit --> individual moves away from a state of dormancy / stagnation into awareness of personal sin and there is a spirit of humility --> individual desires for repentance and growth in righteousness

(personal transitioning into corporate)

2. corporate revival

the expedited removal of idols (because this is happening in the individual lives all at the same time) allows God to be revered and have His unchallenged kingship --> holiness of the entire community draws the large unbelieving crowds / revival is contagious?

• Where there is a defiance spirit before God and how he wrestled, remembered God and decided to obey to preach repentance. Anger etc aside, the Lord eventually brought about awareness and humility of His mercy and power. That revealed a journey of personal revival.

• While because of what that 1 sentence he preached, he brought about repentance in the city of Nineveh. I wonder wow so easy? and who knows what this will translate to following their repentance

The thoughts is if we can't organise why do we educate? Hence the purpose could more be prophetic that God yearns to have a corporate revival, and whether we want onboard!

We need to break free of the fear of man, only then we can really pursue what’s on God’s heart. 

It is both great humility and great awe of the majesty of God

When it comes to Christianity, intellectualism is something that will bring us halfway but not all the way into the throne room, because that will require a personal experience of the Most Holy God.

Matthew 7:21-23

²¹ “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. ²² Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ ²³ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
