National Park Vacations

One of my first memories is going vacation with my entire family, which is a group of 18. We went on many of these vacations and it was almost a tradition for us to go every summer to a state in America and tour the national parks. This was one of my favorite times of the summer and something I always looked forward to. It helped me build strong connections, and brought our family closer together. My family is a big part of who I am and how I identify myself. These trips when I was young really solidified that for me and made me very family oriented.

Starting Lacrosse

I started lacrosse in 2nd grade and my mom was my first coach. I was really nervous, but also excited to start lacrosse. I had always played soccer, and was nervous to try something new because I didn't know if I was going to be good at it. I think a big part of my love for the sport came from my mom. She played lacrosse growing up and that made me want to play and be good, so that I could be like her. I am so glad she had me play because lacrosse is such a huge part of my life and who I am.

Moving Schools

I had grown up with the same friends since 1st grade, but they were different parts of my life. I had my lacrosse friends and my school friends. Both friends were equally important to me they were just different. Going into high school I went from public to private school, and for the first time, my lacrosse friends were becoming my school friends. This was a big adjustment in my life and changed who I was because I changed who I was surrounding myself with.

Beach Trips

One thing most people in my life know about me is my love for the beach. This all started because my grandparents have a beach house in Cape May, Nj. Every summer since before I can remember for at least one week my family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins would all come to the beach. Some of my best memories happened at the beach house, and it continues to be one of my favorite places.

My Mom

My mom has been and continues to be a huge part of my life. She has been my biggest supporter as well as my inspiration. She is a nurse practitioner and always used to take me to "take your child to work day" with her. This is what originally sparked my interest in nursing. Watching her and seeing her love for her work and helping people inspired me and made me want to do the same.

My first job

Some of my first jobs were babysitting or working lacrosse camps with younger girls. I always loved working with kids, teaching them lacrosse, and just spending time with them. From these jobs I realized that I wanted my job when I was older to deal with little kids. This is how I recently realized that I wanted to go into pediatric nursing.

Siblings

I have three older brothers and this taught me a lot of lessons growing up. It taught me how to work with different people and be able to compromise. Growing up with them and spending my whole life around them really shaped my personality today. My relationship with each of them is different and I think I have a small piece of each of their personalities within me.

Club Lacrosse

I have played club lacrosse since 4th grade and have always played on the same team with the same girls. I grew up with these girls and they were a huge part of my life. I played with them from 5th to 12th grade. Playing club lacrosse in Maryland is such a huge commitment and taught me many lessons growing up
