Organizational Culture - Clan

The reason for Organizational Culture being a clan is to ensure our employees and customers are treated equally. A clan is a culture which is family like, focused on mentoring, nurturing, and "doing things together". Within this organization, there is not one role who has more authority over the other. Instead, each role plays a significant part in the expedition. Ex: In order for the leader to guide the climbers to the top, the analyzer must observe the climbers to see if they are capable of making the journey. Once they are qualified, these people are recommended to the travel agent to fly out to the Himalayas to begin their journey with the leader. The leader then communicates with the meteorologist to determine when the best days are to continue the expedition or stay at the camp. In the event of someone having complications throughout their journey, the leader or the Sherpas will communicate with the medic to provide any necessary medical equipment to climbers. Thus our culture is a clan as we are all working together to successfully guide the climbers to the summit.

Organizational Change

The way in which we will most effectively manage the change in organization is to communicate. To start, we have to come up with a new company and set organizational values. Doing this will ensure that all employees' needs are being met; everyone will be treated equally. The value that we have set for our team will have to be altered as we are creating an organization. We have to establish an environment in which everyone may express their ideas and opinions in an equal manner. If one individual neglects to follow these core principles, the organization is more than likely to meet a demise.
