I am studying at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. On the first day of my work on 10th July 2018, I reported myself at Hasnah Binti Abd Ghani Sdn Bhd at Kubang Rotan Alor Setar,Kedah. For your information, Hasnah binti Abd Ghani Shd Bhd is one of the grocery store that sells a lot of groceries such as food stuff like instant noodles,sugar,salt and rice. Other than that, that store also sells toiletries and wet stuffs.When I arrived at the store, i had been introduce to the owner of the store who is Puan Hasnah binti Abd Ghani. She gave a brief explanation about working time, how to do all the works like weighing the goods,punch the price tag at the goods and guide the customers to find their goods. Next, Puan Hasnah also give me a little brief about the information of Hasnah binti Abd Ghani Sdn Bhd. At that store, I will work as a helper for Puan Hasnah considering that she did not have the worker who work with her. I am really hope that I will gain a lot of knowledges and experiences since ten days I am working at there so from that I can practice in my daily lifes or after i finish my study.




On the second day of my work on 11st July 2018, I had been taught by Puan Hasnah on arranging the goods at the shelves. Firstly, I have to put aside the existing goods and wipe the shelf and also the existing goods to remove the dust. Secondly, I have to check whether the expired date of the existing goods are expired or not. After that, the news goods had to be arrange at the back and followed by the existing goods. Why we have to arrange the goods liked that because based on the explanation by Puan Hasnah was the existing goods have an expiration date that is almost over compared to the news goods so that we have to sells the existing goods first.




On the third day of my work on 12nd July 2018, I had been taught by Puan Hasnah to weighing the goods. The type of goods that needs to be weighing are flour,onions and gingers. Before she taught me about the weighing, she had taught me on how to use the scales. Puan Hasnah have 2 type of scales which are electronic scale and ordinary scale. For the ordinary scale, the methods to use it is very simple. We just have to make sure that the needle of the scale is at the zero. This is because we want to avoid the zero error (in term of physics:with is the measurement is not right due to the error that occur at the scale). For the electronic scale, we have to make sure that the number of scale that appear is zero but if it is otherwise we have to press button set to zero at the scale to fix it to zero. Then, we press the number button at the scale so that is very important for the seller to know the price of each goods per kilogram. After that, just weight it as usual.




On the fourth day of my work on 13rd July 2018, I had been taught by Puan Hasnah to tagging the price tags at the goods. The most important thing that we have to emphasis is the original price. So we can know whether we need to increase or decrease the selling price by checking the price of each goods from the receipt of transactions from the sell men.  If we do the mistakes by tagging the prices so we will have to face the losses. Then, she taught me about how to use the price tag tool. I have to pull the arrow at the price tag tool and set the price at there. 




On the fifth day of my work on 14th July 2018, I had been taught by Puan Hasnah about how to sell the gases. For the information, Hasnah Binti Abd Ghani Sdn Bhd only sell the gases from the Petronas so she only accept the gas tank from the Petronas that are bringing by the customers. There are two type of gases that have been sell by she which is the normal tank (12kg the price is RM 25.50 per tank) and the biggest tank (16.5kg the price is RM 29.50 per tank). But the gases are placed in Puan Hasnah's brother store which is next to her store. When the customers come I have to open the door for the conversion of gas barrels. Then guide them to choose the gas tank so the usual question that will be ask by the them are the price of the gas tank and they will check the gas feeder whether is on the good condition or not. Then I after the conversion of gas barrels is done, I have to close and lock the door back.




On the sixth day f my work on 15th July 2018, I had been taught by Puan Hasnah about how to serving the customers. Firstly, I have to greeting them with a smile and asking them what they want to buy. Some of them have brought the list to buy so I will be easy for me because I just have to searching and bring all the goods to the counter. A few customers like to ask our opinion before buy the goods such as the spices and slipper. For the spices I will recommend them the spice that are really popular among the customers who have bought. The brand of spices that are really popular are Babas, Alagapa and Aween. For the slipper, ussually they will ask me which one is the most beautiful and pretty. Then, I will search the shoes based on their size and will guide them until they are satisfied and buy the shoes.




On the seventh day of my work on 16th July 2018, I had been taught by Puan Hasnah about manage the payment counter. I have to calculate the goods twice to make sure that the totals payment. So firstly, I calculate the goods then I will remember the total price and repeat the calculation. This is because Puan Hasnah does not use the payment machine but she just use the ordinary calculator. After I have calculate the prices then I will inform the customer about the total price. While the customers are preparing the money I will arrange all the goods that had been buy by the customers in the plastic bag. Then I will give the balance to them back followed by thank you and a smile.




On the eighth day of my work on 17th July 2018, I had been ask by Puan Hasnah to refill all the goods which are getting low and has been exhausted. So, I start with the drinks in the refrigerator. They are many type of drinks in there. So I will note down the number that are required to refill each type of them. Then, go and grab the stock at the back of the store and refill it. Next, I have to refill the toiletries. Firstly, I take out the stocks from the boxes and open its wrap. Then, I label the stock one by one using the price tag tool with the price that has been set by Puan Hasnah. In addition, I also have been ask by Puan Hasnah to check the stocks where is place at the back of the  store. After that, I noted the stock that are running out and have to submit the order to the sellmen.




On the ninth day of my work on 18th July 2018, I had been ask by Puah Hasnah to take care the store by myself without her because she will go out to buy the stock for the store. So, I came to the store at 9 a.m. to open the store. Firstly, I open door and sweeping the floor. After that, I arrange the shelves at their place and also arrange the goods that are running out of stocks at the selves. Next, I wipe the drink's refrigerator and the ice cream's refrigerator. While I busy doing my works, the customers are start coming to the store. So, I entertain them and help them to find their goods. In the afternoon around 2 p.m., I have prepare to close the store for a while to perform prayer, lunch, and rest. After 4 p.m., the store to run like usual and I will be prepare to close the store at 7 p.m.




On the tenth day of my work on 19th July 2018 which is my last day to do my SEIP at Hasnah Binti Abd Ghani Sdn Bhd. So, I am very thankful to Puan Hasnah because she is willing to teach me about entrepreneurship. I get a lot of knowlegde in this field. I am really hope with this experiences and opportunities that had been given to me can help me when I start my career. In my last day, I am still doing the same things like sweeping the floor and arranging the goods. I am also have to take care the counter and entertain the customers.
