My parents have shown me over my life time the struggles and hardships that they had to go through during the Vietnam war. Being a part of the ESL program in elementary school gave a lot of the other kids a reason to bully me up until 9th grade. I overcame the bullying lifting weights. When everyone who bullied me saw my progress, they all stopped. I believe that being a part of this community definitely strengthens my perspective on life in general since Lancaster is considered the "refugee capitol of America". The square has always been a great destination. Many memories have been made there. I also love the views Lancaster have to offer. My dad has worked hard to get to where he is today, working long hours to support his family. My mom works at QVC and has been a strong member there for over 15 years.
