No, you can all use the same idea and have a slightly different approach. The work you submit should be your own original work. I suggest you work together, but do not copy/paste/share as this will flag up in Turnitin.

I think Trust A has two types of gowns, for the sake of the project can we assume that patients will only use one type?

Yes of course, keep it simple. I (and your audience) do not know what gowns Trust A have, so we will take at face value what you tell us

Under the data collection bit we want to collect patients opinions, do I need to mention ethics clearance etc?

You wouldn't need ethics for something like this because it would be considered service evaluation rather than research. you will need to gather information in an ethical way however, and abide by GDPR. so do not collect any information you do not need or will not use, store information securely, and make it clear to the patient what you are using the data for, how long you will keep it, where results will be displayed. you do not need to explain all of this, you can touch on it and say you will follow GDPR guidance.

For literature, are we limited to just healthcare resources or can we branch out to other areas such as engineering?

You can use sources from other industries as long as it is clear how this applies to your project. in fact, doing this is considered 'synthesis' and is a skill that is likely to achieve a higher grade.

Can we use Radiopaedia as a reference for a) words b) pictures?

Yes you can, but just consider how and why information is published on radiopaedia- it is there for interest and is not a robust source. For images, absolutely fine, please follow their referencing rules. For words, just consider whether there is a more robust source first, or whether the 'calibre' of the information on radiopaedia is sufficient for the point that you are making

IS the 10 year rule for references strict for this modules?I have found lots of books from 10/15 years ago

there will have been a flurry of publications around 2008-2012, this was the post Francis report time when all NHS Trusts had a real focus on quality improvement. This information is fine to use, just consider how the context of the healthcare system has changed between this time and now, it is a different place, especially since Covid.
If what is written is still true, then use it. on your poster just reference this, you don't need to justify this. in your critical report, you may wish to discuss this further.

Do we need to include a critique of the tools on the poster? or should we keep that to the report?

if you need to add a sentence about your tool to justify its use, and this contains some comparison/consideration for why this tool and not another on your poster then this is fine. just consider, if you were telling someone verbally about your project, would you verbally explain why or justify why you have used the tool you did?
Remember you do not need to critique everything in your critical report, if tools is one of your focused areas then yes critique here, if you choose two other areas to critique you would not get marked down for not critiquing tools specifically.

Do the two sections of the critical report need to be of equal length? I am struggling to find much literature on the affinity diagram

I suggest 2 only to try and ensure that you have depth to your critical report and do not 'skim' several areas. There are no rules about how much of your word count you should dedicate to any particular part, each of you will have more/less to say about areas that have challenged you.
as for finding information about the affinity diagram specifically, consider what this gives you in comparison to other tools, did it better facilitate group work? did you come up with other perspectives? were you able to identify stronger categories? rather than comparing literature, you can compare its use of application to your project.

I'm a bit confused about the PDSA cycle. If you implement a change and gather data about it for 4 weeks do you the stop the change whilst you analyse the data and act on the data? so its almost a 4 week 'trial' period.

Do you need to state the specific activities you will use to engage stakeholders?

Do we need to consider the sustainability of the change and ongoing assessment of the change beyond an initial evaluation? Several of the articles I have read discuss this but not sure if I need to consider this on the poster or in the report

No you do not need to state activities, I suggest you use the power diagram to demonstrate you have considered them, and remember to mention whether or not you will involve service users or not, and why (no decision about me, without me). Acknowledging the stakeholders and why they are important to engage is enough for the stakeholder section

You wouldn't necessarily stop, that would just be the point at which you would measure the change. technically, until the change is 'adopted' each cycle is a trial period

You are best to evaluate something you have done, rather than something you will do. unless you are reflecting on the decisions you made as a team and how you got there, and how new information has caused you to reflect

Yes the plan stage of PDSA is a logical place to cite this

do we need to use 1 chosen tool and other being the PDSA cycle or can we use two chosen tools and the PDSA cycle? also how many references do we need on the poster as im struggling to fit many on. thanks.

The poster should be in the third person, you can refer to your team as 'the project team'

The assignment can be in the first person or the third person, I don't mind

Minimum of two tools, I suggest 1 plus PDSA, however if you feel that adding 2 tools plus PDSA will add a lot to your poster, then you can do this if you wish
