The statue of Zeus was a sculpture made by Phidias, the most recognized sculptor of classical Greece. It was found in the temple dedicated to the god Zeus located in Olympia and was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. From the 5th century AD. C. its trail was lost and there are several theories about how its destruction occurred.
