Then in a second he felt enormous amount of pain in his leg. He was shot and blood started to come out of Jonas's leg. Jonas started to craw to take cover but that just made his leg hurt even more with more blood coming out of his leg. Jonas put pressure on the wound but it hurt but less blood started coming out now. Jonas open his eyes and found himself in the Anex room with him still on the bed with his leg hurting.

I chose the memory of Jonas getting shot because since he broke his leg from the sled ride with bone showing which had gave me an idea of Jonas getting shot.

Directions--This novel is considered to have more than one moment that is the climax of the story. What do you consider to be the climax? Why? You may add an image, but you are required to add a quote that represents the climax you chose. Then explain how that quote connects.
Example--In The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a quote that stands out for me is, "It's my life, it's now or never," written by Jon Bon Jovi. When Dorothy destroys Wicked Witch, it was do or die time for her. The quote from a song, shows that Dorothy is taking charge of her life and has to do something now in order to save herself and her friends.
In The Giver a quote that stands out is "Welcome, Receiver of Memory" written by Lois Lowry. This is when a female Attendant said to Jonas respectfully.

Directions--

Depending on your perception of the novel, what is the resolution? In other words, how was the problem solved?Support your answer. Find a song that fits or connects to the resolution. Then write 2-3 sentences that explain how the song connects to the resolution. Add the link of the song video to your Padlet. DO NOT USE A SONG OR THE THEME SONG FROM THE MOVIE!
Example--A song that represents the resolution in the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, for me is, "In My Life," by the Beatles. Dorothy realizes that there is no place like home. From the beginning of the story Dorothy wanted to escape her family, rules, ordinary life, and save her dog from the cranky neighbor. In the end, Dorothy realized that she had the power to go home and be with her family.
A song that represents The Giver is Runaway
Runaway connects to The Giver because Jonas runs away from the community. Second, Jonas only ran away for one reasons. The first reason was two save Gabe.
