My passion for teaching started when I became a soccer coach. It was there I realized I could make a difference in people lives. While doing this I thought to myself, "If I could do this the rest of my life, I would be the happiest girl in the world". This relates to Orwell's fourth reason, Political purpose, I want to help make a difference and change the world:)

My reason for teaching is to be able to help students learn critical thinking skills and coping skills. All of this stems from me working in the mental health field.

I want to teach to have a positive impact on children, especially those in which school is their safe space. I think it is such an important and inspiring job because you have the ability to change lives, and inspire them to believe in themselves!

I have always loved kids, I wanted to babysit when I still needed a babysitter. I find fun in school where I can, particularly in science classes. I realized eventually that I can combine these interests and create a meaningful education in an enjoyable way for students. Plus, life stays interesting when all your coworkers are 11 years old.

I wanted to be a teacher when I was little because I loved my teachers and wanted to be just like them. I wanted to share my knowledge with young students and help them learn how to read and write. As I got older I wanted to work in the psychology field to help people. Now that I'm back into wanting to be a teacher, I want to engage with little children and help them grow and unlock the world that words open for them.

I feel like being an educator has a lot of meaning to children. They seek love, care, and security. Teacher may be able to provide that to those who lack it. I think this connects to George's political purpose because I want to make a difference in children's lives.
