Fraction Addition/Subtraction Pear Deck

This is a Pear Deck presentation on fraction addition and subtraction that I will use in the focused instruction/"show" portion of a classroom lesson on the subject.. It goes with the worksheet and interactive game as one lesson (though probably with 2 days worth of material). It includes access to a website to explore visual fraction representation, a short answer question, and multiple choice questions for in-class practice. It wasn't made with AI, so no need to refine the resources.

Fraction Addition/Subtraction Homework Sheet

This is a homework sheet generated by Copilot to accompany a lesson on fraction addition and subtraction. After a few prompts to generate the worksheet and correct formatting and question type, I manually changed the title to more accurately reflect the class, instructions to ensure students show their work, and I modified one word problem that was misleading (asking how much more flour there was than sugar when there was really more sugar than flour). I also manually changed the formatting to give more space for students to show their work.

Blooket Review Unit 1: Operations with Integers and Rational Numbers

This Blooket is a review of the entire unit that includes fraction addition and subtraction. This means it also includes adding/subtracting negatives, decimal and mixed number manipulation, etc. The image header is also AI generated. It would be used to review before the unit test in class.

Interactive Fraction Addition/Subtraction Game generated by Claude

This is a review game on fraction addition/subtraction generated by Claude. I prompted the AI to make an adventure game with 5 questions for students to practice fraction addition and subtraction. I changed the text in a couple of places to note the need to simplify answers and to provide a better result if students got 3 or 4 answers correct out of five. I would offer this as optional extra review for students, especially for students who finish their other work early. It's not a ton, but is a fun way to continue practicing for those who need a little extra.
