Effects of overpopulation in big cities
In this day and age, there is a rapid increase in population, causing overpopulation worldwide, especially in big cities. This potentially can trigger many distressing effects on many citizens in general. Firstly, overpopulation can stimulate a lack of space for daily activities. For instance, the land fund in the central or sub-central areas is very limited; nevertheless, the population growth, mainly due to migration, is quite uncontrolled and excessive nowadays. That's why the shortage of housing can easily happen as everyone wants to find a marvelous house yet at an affordable price. Another point is that when a city is being overpopulated, many of its compulsory services may not be able to fulfill all of the residents’ needs. In particular, if there are innumerable patients, the hospitals cannot be able to pay enough ministries to all convalescents, giving rise to poor treatments in medicating facilities. In conclusion, overpopulation in big cities can feasibly lead to undesirable effects such as the deficit of space and poor service contributions.

Causes or effects of overpopulation in big cities?

These days, it is hard to overstate the fact that the population bomb in big cities has set off a heated debate in recent decades. This essay will discuss several effects of this problem. Firstly, it is widely acknowledged that the enormous energy consumption of products to meet the demands of a large number of people living in large metropolises has been one of the reasons for the deterioration of the environmental quality and the depletion of natural resources. In fact, massive exhaust emissions released from the combustion of fossil fuels for manufacturing have catastrophically exacerbated air pollution. This is compounded by the widespread use of fuel-powered vehicles. For example, the rocketing rate of car ownership due to the population explosion among middle-income Vietnamese nationals has rendered the atmosphere in major cities alarmingly contaminated. Moreover, overpopulation is likely to contribute to the removal of vast areas of natural forest for the benefit of humans. For instance, the rapid growth in the construction of skyscrapers and buildings in large metropolises has led to habitat destruction and a reduction in soil fertility and biological diversity. To summarize, I believe that overpopulation in big cities has several negative influences on the environment, such as deforestation and the depletion of natural resources.

First of all, overpopulation will make big changes in living patterns. More and more people drive to work, this means that streets at rush hours become packed with private vehicles; as a result, traffic congestion happened more frequently. Moreover, the increasing in CO2 emission from transportation will contribute to air pollution, affecting city’s life quality. Secondly, the lack of accomodation will happen as a result of overpopulation. More high-rise building, skyscraper will be build in order to solve that problem. In addition, there will be no land for green space, which would make air pollution worse. Lastly, overpopulation result in the likelihood of cime. Although many people move to big cities, their living conditions are still not improved, this leads to the increasing of crime since those people could do anything for their living, even commit crime.

There are numerous factors contributing to overpopulation in big cities. The first cause is immigration. People especially the poor always want to improve their lives so they choose to migrate to developed countries like the USA, the UK,... Secondly is the lack of family planning. In developing countries, they often have many children to have more labor to earn more income. Furthermore, people especially women don’t have a clear understanding of safe methods of birth control leading to an unexpected pregnancy. Lastly, with the advancement in science and technology, it has become possible for infertile couples to take measures and have their own babies. Moreover, with better medical facilities, pregnancies today are much safer.

Overpopulation in big cities has lead to a numerous problems. This paragraph is going to discuss about the problems that it bring to our life. First, traffic jams resulted in the increasing number of residents' private vehicles. Such traffic congestion not only makes it difficult for people to move, but it also pollutes the air, lowering the quality of life. The second problem is that overcrowding can lead to social instability. Taking robbery and crime as an example, practical conditions show that such crimes are on the rise in metropolitan centers where the police force is unable to effectively manage and control the population. To conclude, overpopulation causes us many problems so the government has to find the solution to solve this problem immediately.

Effects of overpopulation in big cities

In recent years, the population boom has created numerous disadvantageous effects to the unrban areas. First, overpopulation has a significant impact on increasing the costs of living, causing many residents to suffered from poverty. As the demand of supplies and foods keep rising, it contributes to the trend of raising products prices. Another effect of overpopulation is the high rate of unemployed citizens in big cities. Due to the differences between the neccessity of new employees and applicants, several individuals have to experience joblessness, when there are numerous candidates to compete. Furthermore, this overcrowded situation is the reason for the destruction of the environment. There happens to be a lack of green space in metropolitan cities, according to the construction of high buildings instead of parks or playgrounds. It is also obvious that there cannot be enough garbage disposal areas, leading to illegal dumping or littering. For instance, in Hanoi, there is only one or two garbage areas for the whole city with nearly five millions people, which has resulted in several times of overloading. In conclusion, it is undeniable that the overpopulation in big cities is responsible for a wide range of drawbacks to the urbans.

These reasons lead to overcrowded in big cities that may bring a lot of effects. First and foremost, the cost of living would be increased. When many people move to the same town, the houses for sale would be running out faster. If a resident wishes to have accommodation, they would have to pay twice or even three times the first price to get it. Second, pollutions would be a massive problem for the city residents. Water pollution, noise pollution, and air pollution are included in it. The main reason for this is because of the number of residents in an area. Every day, they release a lot of pollutants such as garbage and carbon dioxide from their activities into the environment. As a result, the city becomes heavily populated, which can harm anyone living in that area. Big cities are the dream for all residents because of their wealth and modernity, but living in them would not be easy.

There are many poor people living in cramped, low-quality housing with poor conditions. These houses are often damp, dirty, contain a large amount of bacteria and viruses that cause skin and respiratory diseases, seriously affecting people's health. One of the other bad effects of population explosion is the increase in crime rate. Population growth makes job opportunities less and less. This can be frustrating for a large number of young people and because in order to make a living, they will have to work in illegal jobs such as stealing, pickpocketing, and even selling drugs and opium. Firstly, when a metropolis gets overpopulated, there are fewer jobs available to support a high number of people, consequently, the unemployment rate would rise dramatically. As people try to feed their families and provide them with basic necessities of life, they turn to criminality, such as theft.

EFFECTS OF OVERPOPULATION:
In this day and age, it is undeniable to say that overpopulation has become one of the most outstanding problems in big cities due to its the effects to human's life. First of all, overpopulation may lead to the depletion of natural resources. People's daily activities, such as driving cars or even inappropriately dealing with waste disposal could detriment the environment and heavily destroy the natural ecosystem. To illustrate, according to the 2018 survey of British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), there were about 18 million plants and trees being destroyed by human themselves as well as some external factors. Secondly, overpopulation may result in the rise of unemployment. The high number of people living in a city means that there will be some individuals who could not have a job. However, the government are trying to resolve this negative trend by calling on people to distribute the population more equally among places. To sum up, overpopulation could lead to the depletion of nature as well as resulting in the rise of unemployment but the government are trying to improve the situation by encouraging people to move more to the countryside.

People have been relocating to large cities in recent years, which has resulted in several negative outcomes due to traffic congestion. To begin with, overpopulation has a significant impact on growing living costs, driving many residents into poverty. The rising tendency in product pricing is aided by the growing demand for supplies and meals. Overcrowding has also resulted in a high rate of unemployment in big cities. Because of fluctuations in the need for new workers and applications, certain people are forced to suffer joblessness when there are multiple prospects to compete with. Furthermore, overpopulation is a major contributor to environmental degradation. Large buildings, rather than parks or playgrounds, have been constructed, resulting in a lack of green space in metropolitan areas. There are insufficient waste disposal facilities, resulting in illegal dumping and littering. In Hanoi, for example, with a population of almost five million people, there are only one or two garbage cans, resulting in frequent congestion. In conclusion, urban overpopulation is responsible for a wide range of urban disadvantages.
