         <title>1907 - Georgia v. Tennessee Copper company and Ducktown Sulphur </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Fumes from the copper company in Ducktown were crossing over the state lines and poisoning Georgians. Georgia sued to have the smelter shut down and an injunction was issued to have the smelter shut down. Eventually, the Tennessee copper company wanted to come to an agreement with Georgia but they continued polluting the area until Georgia finally won an injunction against the Copper company six years later.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chemicals and pollution that were laying on top of the water caught fire, caused an awareness of pollution nationwide. The Cuyahoga river has a history of burning because of all the pollution in it. Starting in 1868, it has burned thirteen times. Eventually, the National Environment Policy Act which gave the Environmental Protection Agency the responsibility to regulate sanitary-specific policies and manage environmental risks.</div>]]></description>
