It was actually my uncle's business. It is located besides my grandparents' house. I went to work at 10 am and was introduced to each of the staff. Kak Fuzah and Kak Dot and one of the staff is MC. 

It is operated 6 days in a week and rest day on Saturday. Opened at 8:30 am until 5:30 pm. There are 3 staff working in the office and 4 other workers as the lorry driver. 

Al Iman Jaya Enterprise owned 3 lorries, 2 excavator and 1 big truck to load all fresh fruit bunches (ffb) and deliver it to the choosen factory.

Today I finally met the other staff which is Kak Irah. 

I learned how to manage the calculation of the weight of the FFB and multiply with the current price of FFB in Malaysia. Some customer collect their money daily and others monthly. They will kept a copy of every receipts to save it for later use. 

In one day there will be approximate more than 10 customers. Some of them will bring their FFB using their own vehicle and some they uses Al Iman Jaya Enterprise lorry service to come and collect their FFB from their palm oil plantation.

Most of them play with the price charged per tan for the FFB. Kak Fuza said that there are some of Al Iman Jaya's customer that are no longer coming here and went to other business to sell their FFB.

After lunch, Mr Uda assigned me to send email to Bank BSN worker. For this email, it required Al Iman Jaya's The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri for 2 years, Bank Statement for year 2018 from January until June.

I helped Kak Dot to searched all the documents. -Through out the day, drivers will go to farmer's palm oil plantation to pick up FFB.
- All FFB is placed at their collection site after being weighted.
- At 6 pm, one of the worker that drive the big truck, will pick all the FFB using excavator and transfer it into the big truck. 
- When the truck is fully loaded, usually it took 2 days to make the truck full, Wak Berahim will drove the truck to the factory early in the morning at 2 or 3 am. 

The factory that is working with Al Iman Jaya Enterprise is Kluang Palm Oil  Processing SDN BHD. It is required to all businesses that have vehicles of their own to always take it to PUSPAKOM to get it check. Mainly for safety reason. Each lorries also has their own insurance. This seem like a small mater, but it is so important.

The other thing that I thought is not really important but gives a big impact towards the business is that all FFB has their own grade. Before it was sent to the factory all FFB need to be check first. Either it is too young or too old. It is one of the challenges face by Mr Uda. Because usually farmer only cared about the weight of the FFB and not about the grade or condition of the FFB. The total of FFB collected are less. I swept the front porch of the building and helped reorganize the tables inside the office. 

Since it is Durian season, we received 3 durians from one of Al Iman Jaya's regular customer. 

I learned new things today which is what is EPF, SOCSO, and SIP.

EPF is also known as Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP). it is an interest for the workers. EPF is counted based on the worker monthly payroll. If their payroll is RM5 000 and lower the percentage is 11% and shared from employer is 13%. If the payroll is RM 5 000 and above the percentage is 11% from employee and 12% shared from employer.

As for today, I have already listed several questions to asked the staff. 

1. The premise is a rent land.
2. Electricity bill: RM 200+/-
    Water Bill: RM50 +/-
3. Oil for the lorries. Every month, Mr Uda will give cheque cost RM 1500 to BH Petrol and when a driver want to fill in oil, staff will give them a cheque amounted RM 150 to them and every time a driver went to load oil into their lorry, the BH Petrol staff will deduct from the RM 1500 that Mr Uda had payed every month. If there is still balance, it will be brought up to the next month.
4. All stationary in the office is managed by the staff and will be claimed towards Mr Uda.

The hardest part is when money is involved. I'm worried that I might gave too much or too less money. But Kak Irah helped me a lot. I needed their help to because most of customers are a Javanese and I can barely understand their slang or accent. 

Mr Uda shared about the challenges that palm oil trader are facing nowadays. It involves Europe country. Europe is one of the country that Import palm oil from Malaysia. The problem is that now they wanted to boycott palm oil from Malaysia The reasons is:
- Child trafficking.
- Eliminates forest reserves.
- Disturb endangered species.
- Cause pollution.
According to Mr Uda, most of these problems cause by Indonesia country but Malaysia also affected. So I asked Kak Fuza what does it mean by 'Upah Kargo'.

Upah kargo is charged towards farmer that brought their FFB using their own vehicle. 

Upah potong is charged toward workers that helped farmer with the FFB.

Upah potong were based by the area of the pal oil plantation, the height of the palm tree. Palm tree that have reached 35 years old need to be cut down. The range of upah potong is RM55-RM120.

According to MPOB, 
1 acre = 50 palm tree.
5 acre  = 250 palm tree
But most farmer,
1 acre = 50-70 palm tree
5 acre = 275-320 palm tree

I've finished the interview with Mr Uda and today he treat me and all of his staff McDonalds. I am so Grateful to work with him.
