CAT Exam is management entrance exam conducted for the admissions in 20 IIMs and other Business schools across the India. CAT is conducted by the IIMs on a rotational basis every year. 
 
CAT 2017 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. CAT Exam is the biggest MBA entrance exam taken by more than two lakh candidates every year. CAT score is accepted by 20 IIMs and also by over 100 Business Schools across the India.
 
CAT Registration
 
To register for CAT, applicants have to fill the application form which is available online. Candidates can fill the application form through official website and to fill the form they have to enter the various details like personal details, educational details, address details as well as exam related information. Application form for CAT 2017 is available from 9th August and the last date for applying is 20th September.
 
CAT Admit Card
 
The conducting authority of CAT releases the admit cards about one month before the exam. The admit card is made available online for the candidates and they can download the same from the official website. Admit card for CAT will be released on 18th October 2017. All the applicants of CAT have to carry that admit card to the examination hall on the day of exam. Any test taker without admit card will not be permitted to enter the examination hall.
 
CAT Result
 
After the successful completion of the exam authority will release the result. CAT 2017 Result will be declared in the second week of January 2018. The result will be declared online and applicants can see their result on the official website. 
 
CAT Cutoff
 
CAT Cutoff is declared by the exam conducting authority along with the result. The cutoff is the minimum marks that a candidate has to score to qualify the CAT exam. To calculate the cutoff for different programs and institutes, various factors are undertaken like the total number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam and number of seats available
 
CAT Selection Procedure
CAT Selection Procedure varies from institute to institute. Most of the institutes shortlist the candidates on the basis of the CAT cut off. The shortlisted candidates are called for the Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
