I chose this quote because it sort of ties the whole book together. It shows how, after being rescued from the Capitol, he is unsure of what things are real and what things President Snow forces him the believe. So, sort of in a comical way, he asks if she loves him. Katnissś response is ¨yes¨. This is a good example of how Peeta was able to overcome his troubles brought to him by the Capitol ¨hijacking¨ him. Concerning Katniss and Peetaś relationship, all is well in the end.

I chose this picture of a burning match as a symbol of the book. I like this picture because as the match is struck, the fire begins to grow, but eventually burns out. This symbolizes the fire that is sparked by Katnissś actions against the Capitol. This fire grows into a rebellion, which eventually takes down the Capitol and brings justice to Panem. Katniss lives to raise kids and have a family with Peeta, but all life eventually comes to an end, bringing things with it.

Book Review from Publishers Weekly

/* Starred Review */ This concluding volume in Collins's Hunger Games trilogy accomplishes a rare feat, the last installment being the best yet, a beautifully orchestrated and intelligent novel that succeeds on every level. At the end of Catching Fire, Katniss had been dramatically rescued from the Quarter Quell games; her fellow tribute, Peeta, has presumably been taken prisoner by the Capitol. Now the rebels in District 13 want Katniss (who again narrates) to be the face of the revolution, a propaganda role she's reluctant to play. One of Collins's many achievements is skillfully showing how effective such a poster girl can be, with a scene in which Katniss visits the wounded, cameras rolling to capture (and retransmit) her genuine outrage at the way in which war victimizes even the noncombatants. Beyond the sharp social commentary and the nifty world building, there's a plot that doesn't quit: nearly every chapter ends in a reversal-of-fortune cliffhanger. Readers get to know characters better, including Katniss's sister and mother, and Plutarch Heavensbee, former Head Gamemaker, now rebel filmmaker, directing the circus he hopes will bring down the government, a coup possible precisely because the Capitol's residents are too pampered to mount a defense. "In return for full bellies and entertainment," he tells Katniss, explaining the Latin phrase , "people had given up their political responsibilities and therefore their power." Finally, there is the romantic intrigue involving Katniss, Peeta and Gale, which comes to a resolution that, while it will break some hearts, feels right. In short, there's something here for nearly every reader, all of it completely engrossing. Ages 12-up.
Response to Book Review

In general, I really do agree with this review from Publishers Weekly. It covers the most important parts of the book, but does not give very much detail. It sort of skims over the part in the beginning where she is recovering in the hospital from her rescue which is important to the plot because it gives the reader a sense of what is happening. It covers the middle part of the book decently but should have mentioned Peetaś rescue from the Capital. However, I disagree with the ending. This review thinks that the ending of the book felt right, but I don´t agree. I believe that Gale should have returned in the end, instead of getting a job in District 2. He should have lived next to Katniss and Peeta and Katniss and Peeta shouldn´t have started a family.

Conflict was the main element in the book. It is a very common problem, through-out the entire book and the plot revolves around it. This is a huge conflict concerning the Capitol and District 13. Each side has its advantages and disadvantages but in the end, District 13 comes out victorious. The book would not work without its main focus on conflict between character and world.

As with conflict, an important part in the book's story is the point of view the main character has. Katniss's view of things are very important. She has a first person view of the world. This creates many moments of great suspense and anxiety. I think that if the author had chosen a different style to write the book it would have been less exciting. It makes you want to keep reading to find what happens next.
