We are in the kitchen with our new tiled floors and just through a square in the wall there is the family/dining room and even though it was time to do homework we were OK with that. My mom said “ if you don't get your homework done you will have to dill with your dad” and we did what we were told because if you know my dad you know its not good for him to have to deal with you.

It is hot outside and we are walking onto the soccer field and it is very big, like a humongous big. We were playing on a football field for the first time. There were no bumps on the field and it was very satisfying. Then I saw my coach and he said to start warming up.

Nothing could have prepared me for the energy that filled that moment. Screaming, jumping, hugging, beaming. Our months of stress, heartache, and dedication had paid off, and it was all because of a few words....

Standing Lady
I looked at the top of the figure and recognized something that looked similar to a head. In my head I shout on the mountaintops to myself, “Is that a person!?” I had been staring at this so-called person for at least half an hour and they’ve been motionless this entire time.

My first touchdown
It all started the day before Thursday night. I was so nervous because it was my first time playing quarterback on the field because our other quarterbacks got injured so they couldn't play. So the game starts and I'm not playing quarterback at first then the other team scored and they put me there. So the coach calls a pass play and I throw it and they missed the catch.

My ER Visit
A small, grey room. It is unnaturally quiet, with an ugly curtain covering the door. Wires, with a small TV that didn’t even work. Hard, lime green chairs that my sleepy dad sat on. He kept complaining how tired he was, if only he knew how tired I am...

Can I go to school tomorrow?
It was throbbing so bad. I was excited for school the next day and basketball camp after. I decided that the throbbing would go away by the morning time. I tried to sleep through it but the pain was getting worse. I started feeling my ear and it felt like a huge bump on my ear lobe.

Beautiful sights, massive waterfall, and beautiful morning weather, takes a quick transition to a mansion heavily damaged, 6 homes demolished, mobile home park left unrecognizable, and many casualties.

Bell 2
Indelible Moment

I remember this particular event that changed my life. It was going to honor choir back in 2018. Anyway i had been at home going to mess with my mom and she asked me what honor choir was. I told her I didn't know what it was.The next day at school I asked my choir teacher what it was she said it was for middle schoolers that could really sing, I was shocked by this because I couldn't really sing.

A couple weeks later me and the other kids who were chosen went to Princeton high school. As soon as i walked in i kinda felt like i didn't belong. I felt like an outcast but when we were practicing I met some new people and they were really nice. I started to feel like I belonged. I do remember not having my sheet music though. I was so embarrassed.

Being shy really did not help me in honor choir . I was blushing during the performance. I hope nobody saw. I could see my mom's face in the crowd. She was so proud of me. Most importantly I was proud of myself for being able to get there. I went and told my choir teacher all about it on the next monday

I was thinking “how did i get here”. I was so happy I smiled all through the practices . On the day of the performance I lost the sheet music. My whole family knew I didn't know the words. After we were done performing they confronted me. I remember someone sharing with me during practice but they were not next to me in the performance. I was grateful though.

I promised myself to always push myself but not too far.
I always try to make the people around me proud. I'm always trying to make them happy. Sometimes I am satisfied with the results. Other times I just have to push a little harder. It’s really no problem for me to push harder.

I learned that just because you don't think you're good at something doesn't mean other people feel the same way.I also learned that no matter what family will always be proud of you. This is one of my favorite memories because it allowed me to open up and get out of my comfort zone. If i could do it again i would and next time i won't forget my sheet music. I still remember some of the songs.

This was the greatest day of my life. Just being there under all the lights, I felt like there wasn't a thing in the world that could hurt me. I went to sleep that night and had the best dream. The day of the performance I felt like I was the only one on stage. It was magical. I always wanted to be a singer when i was little but i never wanted to be seen. If that makes sense. I want to thank my choir teacher for believing in me.

Don't take your mom for granted¨

It's been a week and a half and my moms not getting any better. I've been getting worried over the past couple days. My mom has never been sick for this long and it's very unusual. The longest she's been sick is a week and it's past that and she's in the worst condition.

My mom likes to move around alot go outside and garden, swim and sit on the porch. Recently she's been throwing up, doing nothing but laying in bed and not eating much. I've started to worry about her alot and tell her to go to the doctors and she doesnt go. Not because she doesn't want to but because she thinks she's fine and will get better. It's been a few more days and she's not better but she's also not worse. She just stayed the same over the past couple days.

She decides to go to the doctor. I was at school worried about her all day like I have been for the past week. She's in the doctor's office and they check on her and do all the normal doctor check up things. They ended up saying she is okay. But then a doctor came to her and said go get a cat scan now. My mom didn't think that she needed one but she said that the doctor was kind of forcing her too. My mom texted me and told me how her doctors appointment went and how she is now going to the hospital.

She went and got a cat scan and they told her that her appendix had ruptured. When I got that text I was so scared. I didn't really know what it meant or anything but i was told she was going to have to go to the hospital. I got home as fast as I could and I was with my friend marin. My mom was scared at the time she just didn't want to show it. She was in alot of pain and felt really sick. We were at home and my mom was packing her hospital bag. She was so moody and scared and she started getting mad because my grandma wasn't there to take her to the hospital yet. She was crying one minute and fine the other.

My mom cried and said ¨Josie where's my chapstick?¨

¨I don't know mom it is probably in your car.

¨Where the heck is grandma? She probably stopped to get greaters¨

My grandma finally got there and my mom went outside to go get into her car. My grandma came inside to go to the bathroom. My mom was sort of mad about that because she wanted to be at the hospital because she was scared for her life. My grandma came back outside and they finally left.

She got to the hospital and had to go into the emergency room. She said that they gave her medicine and then all they did was stick something in her stomach and drained out all of the gunk. The gunk in her was what almost killed her. When she was settled in she called me so i knew she was okay.

¨Grandma was driving like a maniac. I thought I was gonna die for something other than my appendix¨ We talked for a while and then she told me that she wanted to get some rest. She was in the hospital for around 3 or 4 days. I visited her the second day she was in there. We talked for a while, I brought her panera and I walked down into the gift shop and got her some snacks and chapsticks. She stayed at the hospital for 2 more days and then finally got to come home. She was fine for the most part did not feel sick or anything. One night my mom and I were watching a movie and eating dinner. She told me that she felt sick but just thought it was something that she ate. The next day she still felt sick so i told her to call her doctor and she didn't and i kept asking her too. She threw up and then she realized that she needed to call her doctor. She did and they told her that she needs to go to the hospital. She went to the hospital again and they found out that she needs to have her appendix removed. They make her get a corona test and tell her that if she tests negative her surgery will be in a week.

It was the next week. We could not visit my mom either because of corona. She finally came home and felt good but had a tube coming out of her stomach. It was a long cord connected to something kind of like a baggy. It's gross but it was getting all of whatever was coming out of her. She couldn't lift anything over about 10 pounds and she couldn't drive for a week. But we had plans to go to Michigan next week. I had to take care of her all week. I had to help her with her bandages and get her food and water all the time for a week. She was in alot more pain than she's ever been, she told me she would rather give birth again. She stayed in bed doing whatever she could to get better fast so she could heal and drive

us to michigan. She finally got better and made a full recovery. Make sure you're hanging out with your mom or parents as much as you can because one day could be too late. Don't take advantage of them

Trent sampson The deer chase
Indelible moment

My most indelible moments are when me and my cousins Dylan and dawson.
The story starts at my grandmother's house in Cleveland so we would always.
Go outside and go into the trail near my grannys neighbor’s house. There was always this cutoff we wanted to go to but we never did. We went back to my grandma's house and we played basketball. So the next day comes and we go back outside and go on the trail again but this time we go into the woods so we're walking through the woods for like half a mile finding campfire wood. Finally we found enough wood and we started going back to my cousin trips on something. We thought it was just a pile of sticks come to find out it was a dear den.
We helped our cousin. He said that he’s alright so we think nothing of it. So we just go on our way, we see there are three deer behind us so we calmly walk away slowly but that deer didn't care there were two kids and a mother so we kept walking away slowly . We make it back to the trail and we see a deer with antlers the size of a human. We drop the logs and start dippin for our lives. We look back at that man charging at us. we keep going and get into a bush but deer must have the greatest sense of smell because this deer ran at the bush we ran like half a mile and the deer is still on us we finally make it back to the street and were at my grandmas yard and see construction she didn't tell us about destruction so we can't go back we have to run into town.
So at this point were tired of running and the deer is not he’s trying to kill so that what we thought about it and we picked up sticks and started fighting that junk in the middle of the street so it a good 5 minutes we fight ing it cause we're scared we were only 13 so when it came at one of my cousins me and my other cousin attacked it so the deer tried ramming us the thing is i had pepper spray and i sprayed it and it went crazy my brother had found us fighting the dear he brought a pellet gun and shot at it and it started chasing him and he had to get it away from us and we got the phone number for animal control and they shot the deer with tranquilizer darts and also nets they put the deer in the van and they take it and inspect it it see why it chased us for like a mile and a half and we had to fight it so we told them that. And so we waited a few hours to get a response and what was wrong with that dear Animal control says that the deer had rabies.
IN conclusion we told our grandma about it and she said that's why you don't go into killer deer woods and said what . she was just kidding about the name and we bought firewood and we ate smores

                                                    The End

I’ve been thinking; you know, sometimes one thing happens to change your life, how you look at things, how you look at yourself. I remember one particular event. Anyway, I had been at the Sharonville convention center for my first ever time attending HorrorHound. HorrorHound is a sci-fi/horror convention where many actors and actresses are and you can meet them and get pictures and autographs. Most of the people that go dress up and cosplay. There are vendors selling merchandise and also food. There are even tattoo artists and people get tattoos. It was an all day event that lasted all weekend, I will be sharing about one of those days. The day was March 24th, on a Saturday. It was for my birthday which was coming up in just a couple of months. I was there to meet multiple people but most importantly I was there to meet Gaten Matarazzo, who was my celebrity crush back then. There were so many actors there I couldn't name them all if I tried.

Anyway, we knew somebody that worked at the convention so we got treated kind of like VIPs, I was so happy. We got all weekend tickets for free and we didn't have to wait in line to get in, we actually got let in early and got to see everything being set up. Since Gaten was so famous that year you had to get a ticket for a time frame to wait in his line and I was the first one to get the ticket. I was so excited I couldn't even think straight. I had been wanting to go to this convention ever since I was little. I also got to see around the whole building so we knew where everything was and where to go. While I was in one of the rooms where some actors are, I saw Chris Sullivan. I was pretty excited to see him but if I had to be totally honest I was there to meet Gaten. Chris Sullivan ended up being one of my favorite people there. Since he wasn't as famous compared to some of the others his line was very short, therefore I saw him about ten times that day.

Excitement is important to us nerds and weirdos. And here I was, getting an autograph and pictures with Chris Sullivan.

I remember thinking that we wouldn't be able to meet everyone or the lines would be too long. I also remember worrying that some of the actors I looked up to wouldn't be who they seemed, or would be mean. I also remember fantasizing that me and Gaten could be friends after the convention, I am really not sure why because there were hundreds of people there to meet him. Honestly I tried to not think about that because I knew that it wouldn't come true deep down. Before we went to go meet Gaten we ate lunch. There were a lot of places to eat there, but we ended up eating hotdogs. It was called Zombie Dogs, my friend and I were waiting in line to order and then Chris Sullievan walked up to us!

He said ”Is there anything good to eat here?” My best friend and I were baffled that he walked up to us. I was nervous and surprised so I said ”We are getting hotdogs but there's..” and I started listing off the names of the food places. He then asked us if we were having fun and what all we have done. We told him what we had been doing all day and then he went to go get his lunch.

After we ate, my dad and I headed over to Gatens line and my friend went somewhere else since she had a different time slot. The line to meet him was a lot longer than we thought it would be. Originally he had a whole room to himself and there was a wrap around line inside. The line grew to come outside of the room and go around the entire hallway. They had to turn people around and some people didn't get to meet him. I was so grateful I was able to stay in line to meet him. In all the line took three and a half hours but it wasn't as bad as you think it would be. When we got into the room we could see Gaten interacting with his fans and the people with him. When we got about half way through the room line his dad was there. My dad and I got to talk to him for a while and he was super nice and friendly. We were almost there!

There I was next in line to meet one of my favorite actors, my heart was beating so fast and I was so nervous. We got up there and I got a picture and autograph. I asked him a few questions and got to talk to him for a couple of minutes as well. He was so incredibly nice and you could tell he really appreciated his fans. He even stayed an hour after the convention was over so he could get as many people who had been waiting in line in, the rest got tickets to meet him first thing the next morning.

So, here is the promise I made to myself back then: since I will most likely only see these actors that I love once in my lifetime I need to be myself and not shy away. I shouldn't be awkward or tense because these are once in a lifetime opportunities. I will never be awkward or shy again. Then I will have my true excitement with me again.
