Unintended narratives that emerge during implementation.
Competition is never going to go away no matter how the rules change. How will we better equip ourselves to make sure that daily, on the ground, the right values are exemplified in the shifting landscape of this "competition"? How do we do due diligence to uphold the spirit of the exercise so that it doesn't become another exercise in jumping through hoops to walk the "ideal" path that leads to "success"?
I feel that what formal education should be trying to achieve is to imbue in the next generation, a set of dispositions and foundational domain expertise to excite individuals and communities of people so that they are on a trajectory of a purposeful, happy life. So no matter how the rules of engagement change, the work to be guardians of the fundamentals is what makes formal education relevant. Students do not need anyone to teach content that is abundantly available. They need responsible adults who see and believe in their potential and to curate activities that creates a culture of reverence for humanity.
