Diversity is extremely important. I remember as a kid, diversity was common in families, nationalities, everything. There were different types of kids in my elementary school, from Mexican (myself), Black, White, and Asian. There were also some who lived with grandparents, parents, I remember one even living with their older sister.  I do agree with the articles that that’s where kids are most exposed to diversity, and I remember my Kindergarten teacher being extremely inclusive. As I got older, diversity became very huge, because not only were there different types of nationalities, but they were also mixed. And amongst my family, my younger cousins began to become more and more diverse.

I find it important, because it exists everywhere, and it is one of those things where it has to be acknowledged to show that, yes we are different in the sense of we are our own person, but, we’re all the same as humans. I plan on supporting it by making sure to do activities like having family members come in and speak, making sure dolls have different types of ages and nationalities, because that is something I remember from Kindergarten, and I do believe it helps show kids diversity.
