Two way firewall has the same mechanics and feature as a one way firewall while also being able to protect the host when using anything outside the firewall.

For example, if you needed to connect to a server of some sort witch didn't have protection, the firewall would ask for your permission to join it before you do so.

Why is this protection of outside data necessary? Well if this sort of data wasn't protected then this means that your privacy would of been leaked to many different places which is a security alarm.

One way firewalls are old in technology. They have a main and single purpose which is to stop hackers from entering your computer.

This sort of firewall was mainly for the old malware that was around 10 years ago such as viruses and worms. They did not progress at viruses due to the firewall many had at the time

Although if you did have this sort of firewall now you would certainly fall behind in terms of technology.
