What was their point of view?   they said that only if persons suffer from extremely severe mental illnesses or anorexia nervosa.

How does it inform your knowledge?   It gets me thinking about what other options do victims have when trying to cope with severe illnesses.

This perspective was from medical students who are preparing to enter the medical field and they speak about the case of physician assisted suicide.

They believe that instead of actively endorsing in PAS they should focus on their patients to gain the highest quality of life within the new realities of their respective conditions. They do not want to minimize the true and deep
suffering experienced by patients. Requesting PAS however is understandable that medicine cannot completely alleviate all
aspects of pain. They believe that
directly ending a patient’s life is not the answer, and they're concerned
about how PAS is changing their profession.

this perspective is from John Scully he suffers from depression, general anxiety disorder and PTSD from covering 36 wars. He has also attempted suicide twice. 

What did they say?
His goal was to see the option for medical assistance in dying offered to those suffering with mental illness.

How does it inform your knowledge?
This informed my knowledge because even though the general public would believe that any person with mental illness could be treated for. Mental illness can really take a person to a dark place in life and we really don't know how much suffering there going through, even to the point were no-treatment can help at all and give a person any hope.

Those who fear being diagnosed with conditions can not make request in advance for assisted death. This informed my knowledge because I never knew people considered assisted death due to the fear of being diagnosed with these conditions.
