This is my last semester, May 2022 graduate :)

I’m excited to take a deeper dive in assessment and evaluation. I have a general sense of the concepts, and I look forward to learning more in detail so I can execute effective assessment/evaluation.

I dabble in lots of craft endeavors. My latest interest is reconnecting with my love of beads. Attached is a bracelet set I recently made and my experimentation with making an adjustable wire bangle.

I'm really interested in learning how to use student feedback to drive improvement in evaluation design and to learn more about how we came to establish foundations for evaluation and assessment. 

I'm more anxious than nervous!

I love building high end road bikes from frames and putting lots of miles and experiences on them. My longest ride was 178 miles from Cumberland, MD to Pittsburgh, PA in two days. This is a bike I've just completed which will be my road resource for this upcoming season.

I am excited to look at assessment now through the lens of a practicing teacher. My last course in assessment was during my undergrad studies and I've definitely learned a lot since then.

My creative outlet is my Cricut. I am excited to learn more about making my assessments more 21st century focused. This past two years of online and hybrid teaching have really made me reevaluate how I give assessments and I still have a long way to go. I'm a little nervous because I am taking two courses this semester as well as teaching full time so there will be a lot on my plate. 

I really enjoy a lot of different crafting activities like sewing, crochet, and needlepoint. I like anything where I can make something I can use. I am excited to e-meet everyone and work on some hands-on projects to test our knowledge of instructional design. To be honest, I am a bit nervous about time management since I am also learning how to be a mom for the first time (I have a 5-month-old kid). But I believe I can deal with it :) My creative outlet is to DIY macrame keychains. I attached the picture of keychain that I just finished recently. The Chinese tag means "The best wish for good things to happen". I felt enjoyable and relaxed while making those handcrafts.

I like to read and watch tv most of the time. I do find it enjoyable creating resources for the classroom by adding a little bit of flair and making it look nice.
