In 2017 technology took over assessments. Teachers started to incorporate technology in tests allowing for more versions of questions, kids can get it done faster, and it allows teachers to incorporate outside sources like websites and videos. I noticed this happen when I was in middle school because teachers would use it to play Kahoot as tests along with using pictures in their assessments that will hint towards what the student relates to the topic they are learning. This also helps to add variation when it came to tests, so that kids couldn't cheat off their neighbor because they wouldn't be on the same question. With all of this I think that like many things technology has helped both teachers and students evolve in their ways of learning.

The release of the first iPad in April 2010 was a big moment for education, brining the idea of mobile technology to the classroom, making it more convenient for teachers and students to travel with. Prior to the iPad, many schools had already started experimenting with computers and other devices, but the iPad's user-friendly interface, portability, and overall design made it very useful to education. Unlike traditional computers, the iPad was lightweight, intuitive to use, and had a large touch screen, making it much more accessible for students of all ages, from elementary school children to college students. One of the most immediate impacts was the ability to replace heavy, outdated textbooks with interactive digital content. Publishers quickly began developing digital textbooks. This made it more convenient because students no longer had the opportunity to ruin their textbook, forget it at home, or in general help them to avoid lugging around a heavy textbook.

AI has made remarkable advancements in transforming the educational experience, particularly through personalized learning. By 2024, AI-powered platforms have played a huge part in many classrooms, moving into both K–12 and higher education settings. These platforms continuously analyze students' learning patterns, interactions with content, and assessment results to provide tailored learning experiences that adapt to the needs of each individual. This is very helpful because it gives students the oppertunity to get help on assignements 24/7 while also being able to narrow things down so it is personalized to you. AI is slowly getting more and more advanced which is going to help students a lot. With this teachers have to worry about cheating more, but I personally think the good outways the bad.
