Our school should just do away with short day Wednesdays as they are a waste of time. Our school would benefit and feel refreshed having a 3 day weekend with a well rounded and set up block schedule. At about the 45 minute mark me ,personally, tend to lose all interest in the subject. My thinking gets groggy, and I space off. I do not have any form of ADD or ADHD. learning about one subject for an hour and a half each day is mentally exhausting and makes me dread going to classes. Also the matter of homework is a concern. If you are issued class work to do on your own time you may do it the first night and then forget about it the next and you may misplace the given home work. These are high school students we are talking about here. They literally have the attention span of a two year old. Many students in the school can barely make a C average, which is pathetic. This year is the first year that I have actually fallen asleep in a class. Why? Because it gets unbelievably boring and the pace of class is too slow. Part of the reason for this is that the teachers often times do not have sufficient content to keep us occupied during the entire class. I also do not like the inconsistency of the A day and B day schedules. We get back from a break, for example, and the days have changed. The gap between class times (for certain classes) can also make it hard to remember and keep up with current work. This also complicates the process of making up work. Missing a day of school or even a single class can back you up with two days worth of work from the same class. There are multiple other things I do not like about this schedule and things that I do like. However, confusion is created upon switching the A and B days post a half day or the absence of a school day. I can't sit in a class for an hour and a half and be expected to stay productive and interested in the material that I'm learning. I need time to digress, or else it seems to put a mental strain on the students. It also makes it harder to remember material having a day between each class, and then we spend the entire hour trying to review and remember. If we must keep block scheduling, I think we should have either shorter periods and more in one day, or a break partially through. We need time to give our brain a break, use the bathroom, and get drinks. We might be more productive that way, and it could help us with our already strained mental health.

On wednesdays when we have all of our classes the day seems to go by fast.  It doesnt matter to me if we use block schedule again, but i prefer having classes everyday. For me its easier to concentrate during shorter classes because I dont have to absorb so much information. During math class it feels like we learn, do the review and take the test all in the same day. They try to force us to learn when we can only stay on one subject for so long.

I feel that teachers tend to spend most of their time with only one person (usually their favorites) I hate having a simple yes or no question and having to wait 20 mins for it to be answered. I love having more time in class because I have more time to understand things, instead of feeling rushed and stressed. Block schedule should be kept because in my opinion the pros out weigh the cons.

Not all at the same time though. If we were to keep our block schedule we need teachers that can teach, not ones that expect us to already know what the subject is. There are some classes that sometimes are mostly just notes and then a lot of wasted time at the end, but most of my classes the time is used well. I have higher level classes and I still very rarely have homework, and when I do it is mostly just studying for tests. Most classwork can be done in class if students are actually on tasks, and teachers have a lot more time to teach. It is also nice to have a day in between classes to get homework done. The one negative to not having the same classes everyday is that it is hard to remember due dates and test dates sometime. Especially on classes you have on Thursday and then don't see again until Monday. However this can be solved by students writing down due dates in planners. I honestly feel like it is easier to focus on just a few classes a day, and then it's refreshing to have a new set of classes the following day. It keeps you from getting into a boring routine that you follow everyday.
