In my childhood, I distinctly remember my mother being very cautious about the foods she bought and the ingredients they contained. She was particularly wary of GMOs or genetically modified organisms, and would insist on only buying non-GMO products. This attitude was not unique to her, as many people also prefer non-GMO products. This is because GMO products are said to cause cancer and there isn't enough research yet on the long-term effects of GMO products on human health since people haven't been consuming them for very long. Therefore, no one knows what kind of impact they will have on our bodies in the long run.
