Walking through these countless masterpieces you can perceive the majestic atmosphere in which the most important men of Ancient Greece have lived and understand how they must have felt to pass through these stunning monuments.

It is not just a museum, you do not remain indifferent at the sight of the artworks, you can truly feel them and picture in your mind how the acropolis looked over two thousand years ago.

The myths of the past can be archetypes of our society. They can teach us that the actions we take to help our beloved ones can become legendary for the whole of our nation, just like it was for Kleobis and Biton.

It's up to us.

Here it is located the temple of Apollo: it was erected with the tenth of the booty obtained with the famous battle of Marathon, fought in 490 B.C. 

To arrive there, we’ve walked along the Sacred Way and what impressed us the most was that ancient Athenians walked there too. Plus, looking at the ruins, we were able to feel the ancient Greeks’ emotions! 

We think this could be useful in order to give students the opportunity to be part of the democracy, express their opinion on their teachers and the way they work and improve the learning process. 

It was amazing! 

This building is closely linked to the theme of democracy, because it is precisely within the climate created, over time, by this form of government that the expression of different religious forms is possible. We have learned that what counts is mutual respect between diversity and that none of these impose itself strongly on the others.

The bathtubs used by the Ottomans also caught our attention: a very interesting thing is that these bathtubs could be used not only by Muslims but also once a week by Christians, Jews and so on for personal hygiene reasons.

Today, this splendid building in Trikala hosts wonderful art exhibitions, therefore still strongly linked to the theme of culture.

Without any shame talking in front of people, all these impressions were written in a platform.

Nowadays, in fact, electronic tools are important for democracy: we have made a mind map to talk about e-democracy. Thanks to it, everyday we can make our voice heard and participate more actively. 

It was built during 16th century and, out of the many mosques Trikala had, it is the only one remained. In the past it was one of the most relevant places for Muslims of Trikala while nowadays, it has lost it’s religious purpose. In fact it’s now used as a cultural point for events and meetings.

When we entered inside there was an exhibition of works of art made by local children. Among all of the drawings, one of them caught our attention, for its colours and details: it was a copy of the Starry Night by Van Gogh.

In particular, we appreciated the technique used since the painting was made by combining pieces of paper instead of using traditional paint. 

In addition, we imagined the time spent by the children in order to crate such a intriguing representation.
