Over the past few weeks I have used adrift in my essays. I have also used this word in overall speech. When finding a new word, you've never heard before, thinking of actually using it in overall life, can seem useless. But trust me I've used adrift so many times whenever anyone talks about sailing and stuff. Because for most beginners in sailing they all simply go adrift.

Word #2 - Pragmatic is a funny word to me, because whenever I do math with my dad he mentions the word almost every time. He says that being pragmatic about something is the first step of being successful at something. Pragmatic means practical.

I am not going to lie but trust me these books are probably my favorite fantasy books I've read. 
These books are pact with so much action that there is never a dull moment, and I respect that a lot because not every book is pact with action like these books and never have a dull moment. I am on the 4th book and I will want to continue reading the next 4 books in the series.

  • Setting: Wendlyn, Adarlan
  • Conflict: With so much pressure on Aelin because of Nehemia's death, Aelin goes to Wedlyn as the king's assassin. And there she meets a man by the name Rowan and he is also Fae like Aelin. Aelin trains with Rowan and learns magic. But Aelin doesn’t know what will happen next. Even if she has to fight for her life. And my identity will help Aelin by working hard. 
  • Characters: Aelin/Celaena, Rowan ,Aedion, and  Maeve, Dorian, and Chaol.
  • Theme: You're next move may be your last.
  • The setting and conflict affect characters the most. There is an invasion from the evil, there is a big battle that is about to erupt in Wendlyn, with no reinforcements coming to help the main characters Aelin has to remember all the fighting tactics Rowan has taught her to stay alive. Many will die which will affect the characters. The setting affects the characters right from the start. Wendlyn is huge and there are many deadly creatures and evil that wonder about. So the characters have to be smart about their actions and decisions like their life depends on it.


    • Heart Work
    • Throughout the story, I have tried to empathize a lot with my character, sometimes I felt pretty worried and stressed about Aelin. She have got into situations that she has almost died or did decisions that would determine the future of her life.
    • The one way I felt the most with Aelin was her bad life from the start. She has a horrible life if I have to be honest with you. Especially from the start when she arrived in Wendlyn she was poor and drunk like never before, and it was hard to believe that she wasn't getting any support from her king that she is currently working for as an assassin.
    • And sometimes I think about a different life for Aelin, what if she had proper healthcare and food from her King that she serves.

    Aelin just faces inhuman things that I just wouldn't imagine myself going through. I will never understand what it's like being an assassin.

    • I have never killed anyone nor will I ever will, I have not been an assassin or an agent or undercover spy and champion for a kingdom and nor will I ever will be an assassin.
    • Alien’s Parents have been slaughtered and murdered by the evil kingdom whom she is still working for as a champion and assassin. I am really lucky that I still have my parents alive, and that they have not been brutally murdered. 
    • Alien is very good at being sneaky, stealthy and deadly. I will never be deadly and nor will I think I will as much as Alien.
