This poem was by far my favorite out of all of the readings we read. What drew me in is the hidden meaning behind it and the depth of grieving you feel coming off of the page. Two lovers in the same room, feeling/grieving in two different ways. Both as equally broken. Additionally, it is deeper than grief, it is about the emotional disconnect between genders and their roles in the process of losing a child. Something that is unimaginable for a parent to go through, but with every word he wrote, you felt the pain as if you are living it. To me, that is what makes a brilliant writer.

I love how philosophical his writing is and all the hidden meaning behind what he writes. He also is very dramatic, sometimes dark and mysterious like a forest, but always beautiful. The emotion runs through his writing and causes you to feel those emotions while reading.
