Well, for the project I decided to focus on the movement of a spider. My real interest of Spider Man. It was fascinating to know that a spider. could climb anything with its legs and not fall. To know how this is possible, you need to understand how a spider leg works when it tries to climb something.

So how is it possible that a spider can climb with its legs? Well, every spider has something called "setules". They are basically little sticky triangular hairs on every spider. They have more than 620,000 in total. They work by sticking onto a surface and this allows them to scale.

This may make spiders seem like they can climb anything, but that's not the case at all. Unfortunately, because it is sticky, it does not work on slippery surfaces like ice. This is why you can easily flush away spiders when you see them. They can't do anything about it.

However, this invention could solve many of climbing grade suction cup's problems. Firstly, its easy to use. You put it on your hands and you can use it to climb. That is unlike climbing suction cups which is much more bulky and difficult to use. These "spider" like gloves can also be used in the military to scale enemy positions and walls. It's easy to carry and hide to avoid danger. The only equivalent of this in the army are scaling ropes. Not only can they be cut causing the victim to fall, but it is also hard to carry around long thick ropes and the scaling equipment around.
